Haptic feedback

Any row can rumble the controller when it fires. It confirms a press without looking, which matters when the binding is a macro, a hidden shortcut, or a switch you cannot see. Intensity is per row, so a light tap can mean one thing and a thump another.

Turning it on

  1. Edit a preset and expand Options on the row.
  2. Switch on Vibrate.
  3. Set the intensity slider. Low values feel like a tap, high values like a thump.

The built-in Haptic Feedback preset puts four intensities on the four face buttons so you can feel the range.

Supported controllers

The DualSense and DualSense Edge have full haptics and respond to the intensity slider. Controllers with only simple rumble motors are skipped silently rather than buzzing at full strength. The Xbox Series controller's impulse triggers are not driven.

Using it for feedback that is not a press

Because haptics are a per-row option, a row with no output can exist purely to vibrate: a stick region at the edge of travel that buzzes when you hit it, or a touchpad zone that confirms you found the right spot. It is a useful cue for anyone who cannot see the screen or the controller well.

Questions

Does it work over Bluetooth?

Yes, on the DualSense family over both Bluetooth and USB.

Can the vibration be long?

It is a short pulse per fire. A turbo row vibrates on every repeat, which reads as a continuous buzz while held.
