The Smart Preset Maker

The Smart Preset Maker is a catalogue of ready-made layouts: 294 games, 127 apps, and 37 general workflows at the last count. You search for the title, it creates the preset, and you press Activate. The full list is on this site, with every button map.

Using it

  1. Click Smart Preset Maker on the welcome screen, or the wand button in the sidebar.
  2. Type the name of the game or app. Titles match as you type.
  3. Pick one. A preview shows the bindings it will create.
  4. Name it if you want a different name, then click Create. It lands in the sidebar.

What a generated preset contains

Every binding the layout needs, each with a note saying what it does in that game or app. Games usually also get automation: the preset launches the game on activate, confines the pointer to the screen, recenters it, and hides it, so the mouse never wanders out of the window mid-fight. Many also set a light bar colour that matches the game.

Changing the result

A generated preset is an ordinary preset. Re-scan any row to a different button, change an output, add hold or double-tap actions, or delete rows you do not want. If a game's own keybindings differ from the defaults the layout assumes, change the outputs to match, or change the game's settings to match the preset; either works.

When a title is missing

Start from the closest genre. FPS presets exist per controller family, and Racing Game, Minecraft, and the workflow layouts cover most shapes of control. Duplicate one, rename it, and re-scan the rows that differ. New titles are added to the catalogue in updates.

Questions

Does it work for apps, not just games?

Yes. There are layouts for browsers, office apps, creative tools, media players, and general workflows such as desktop navigation and presentation control.

Can I see the layout before creating it?

Yes, in the app's preview, and every title has its own page on this site with the full table.
