How the layout thinks
- Move and look. The left stick moves and the right stick turns the camera. The right stick click locks on.
- Attack. The light attack (left click) is the right bumper and the heavy (right click) the right trigger. The left bumper uses the ranged option (Left Ctrl).
- Move fast. Hold the left trigger or click the left stick to sprint (Left Shift). The bottom face button dodges, or jumps while sprinting (Space).
- Lamp. The top face button readies the Umbral Lamp to soulflay (C), and D-pad down readies it too.
- Items. The left face button uses the item or flask (Q), and the right interacts (E). D-pad up switches to the ranged weapon (V), and left and right cycle the hand items.
- Menus. The inventory (Tab) is on Create and Escape on Options.
The lamp is a face button, so crossing into Umbral is one press under your thumb.
Tune it
- Guard. The heavy attack held with a shield guards. Nothing to add.
- Camera. The camera rows run at Speed 12. Drop the up and down rows to about 9 if looking up and down feels quick.
Leave the attack rows plain, because a soulslike lives on timing.
If the stream passes your controller
When your PC stream gives the game your pad, use its own scheme. Keep this preset off then, or every swing arrives twice. Raise the lamp once with the preset off, and if it lights, play on the game's scheme.

Button names follow the Xbox / PlayStation pair shown in the editor, so A / Cross is the bottom face button on either pad. On a Switch Pro Controller the bottom button is labeled B; the mapping still fires on position.
