How the layout thinks
- Move and look. The left stick moves and the right stick turns the camera. The left stick click dashes and sprints, and the right stick click locks on.
- Attack. The normal attack (left click) is the right bumper, and the Spirit attack (Shift and left click) the right trigger.
- Deflect. The right face button deflects when timed and dodges on a double tap (F). Jump is the bottom face button.
- Martial arts and items. Martial Arts one (C) is the left bumper and two (V) the left trigger. The left face button uses an item (Q), and the top summons the Divine Beast (Z).
- Wizardry. The D-pad casts spells 1 to 4.
- The rest. Create interacts with people and battle flags (E), and Options pauses. The Home button resonates the Divine Beast (X).
The deflect sits where your thumb rests, so the timing is all you have to think about.
Tune it
- Spells. They are already on the D-pad.
- Deflect. It is a tap, so leave the row plain.
- Resonance elsewhere. If the Home button feels risky, press Scan on that row and move it to a back paddle.
Leave the deflect row untouched, because it lives on timing.
If the stream passes your controller
When the stream gives the game your pad, Team Ninja's own scheme is the one to use. Switch this preset off then, or every deflect is pressed twice. If a deflect works with the preset off, the stream already gave the game your pad.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty controller support: controller or keyboard
Steam's store page lists partial controller support for Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty: it plays on a controller, but some parts, such as a launcher, text entry or a menu, still expect a keyboard or a mouse. This layout sends keys and mouse movement from the pad, which can cover the parts the game's own support leaves out. With partial support, a layout fills the gaps the game leaves.

If your controller is not working in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty

Button names follow the Xbox / PlayStation pair shown in the editor, so A / Cross is the bottom face button on either pad. On a Switch Pro Controller the bottom button is labeled B; the mapping still fires on position.
