Built-in preset

Hold & Double-Tap preset

Hold & Double-Tap shows how one control can carry three actions. A / Cross clicks, held for half a second it right-clicks, tapped twice it sends Return. B / Circle is Space, and Escape when held. LB / L1 is Tab, and Shift Tab on a double tap. For a controller with few buttons, or a hand that reaches few of them, this is how three buttons do the work of nine.

Each row carries a press, a hold, and a double tap, so three buttons do the work of nine

Where it is in the app

It ships inside InputConfig: open the sidebar and look in its folder, or search for it. Activate it, or press Edit to see every row. It is also here as a file, identical apart from being inactive and ungrouped, for anyone who deleted theirs or wants it on another Mac.

3 rows. Button names are the Xbox / PlayStation pair the editor shows; a Switch Pro Controller fires by position. Options are the row settings that differ from the defaults.

Notes

The hold threshold (500 ms here) and the double-tap window (300 ms) are in each row's Options; lengthen both for a slower hand. A hold fires when the threshold passes, not on release, so a long press feels immediate.

Download

Open a downloaded preset with InputConfig, or drag it onto the app icon. It lands in the sidebar, ready to activate or edit. Any launch target inside a preset file is cleared on import; add one yourself in the editor if you want it.
