Auto clicker test
InputConfig is completely free on the Mac App Store.
Point your auto clicker at the box and let it run for a few seconds. You'll see how fast it really clicks, the gap between clicks in milliseconds, and how even that gap is.
Run your clicker on the box
Gaps between clicks
The chart counts how many gaps fell in each band of milliseconds. One tall bar means an even clicker. A spread means variation, by design or not.
Read the numbers
- Clicks per second. This is the real rate, taken from the gaps between clicks, not from the value you typed into the clicker.
- Average gap. Compare it with the gap you set. A clicker that cannot keep up shows a longer gap than you asked for.
- Spread. A fixed gap gives a spread of a few milliseconds. A clicker with random variation on gives a wider one, and that is the point of it.
A pause of more than three seconds starts a new run, so stop the clicker, change a setting, and start it again to compare. Test a new setting here before you trust it in a game or an app.
Try it with a free Mac auto clicker
InputConfig has a built-in Auto Clicker preset that starts and stops with fn F6. Its gap is set in milliseconds, and Vary by up to adds random variation, which shows up here as a wider spread. The free auto clicker for Mac page has the setup.
Questions
How do I test an auto clicker?
Put the pointer over the box, start the auto clicker, and let it run for a few seconds. The page shows the real clicks per second, the average gap between clicks and how much the gap varies.
Why is my auto clicker slower than I set it?
Very short gaps can be limited by the app, the system or the browser. Compare the average gap here with the gap you typed. The CPS calculator turns either one into the other.
What does jitter mean for an auto clicker?
Jitter is how much the gap between clicks moves around. A fixed gap shows a very small spread. A clicker with random variation, such as Vary by up to in InputConfig, shows a wider spread on purpose.
