The layout, control by control
How the layout thinks
- Move and camera. The left stick walks on W, A, S and D. The right stick moves the mouse at speed 18 across and 14 up and down.
- Fight. The right trigger attacks (left click), the left trigger guards (right click). The skill on the right bumper (Q).
- Face buttons. Roll, dodge and sprint on the bottom (Space), interact on the right (E), use item on the left (R), the event and jump action on the top (F).
- Clicks and menu. Crouch on the left stick click (V), lock on with the right (O). Menu on Start (Escape).
The event action has a face button, because the game keeps asking for it.
Tune it
- Ping. It is a co-op game, and the D-pad is empty. Put the ping key there.
- Camera. Pointer speed on the preset's page scales all four camera rows together.
- A buzz on the flask. Turn on Vibrate in the use item row's Options.
Ping on the D-pad is the row your teammates will notice.
If the game sees the pad
A stream normally passes your controller to Elden Ring Nightreign's own scheme. Climb this ladder, smallest step first:
- Try the stream on its own. Leave the preset off and push the left stick. If you move, use the game's own scheme.
- Activate the layout. If nothing moves, press Activate, and the pad sends the keys and clicks above.
- Turn one off if presses double. If one press does two things, the game reads the pad and the preset at once. Press Deactivate.
Nightreign plays best on the pad the stream passes through, and this layout is for when it does not.

If your controller is not working in Elden Ring Nightreign

Button names follow the Xbox / PlayStation pair shown in the editor, so A / Cross is the bottom face button on either pad. On a Switch Pro Controller the bottom button is labeled B; the mapping still fires on position.
