Built-in preset

Keyboard & Mouse Input preset

Keyboard & Mouse Input needs no controller. Its inputs are the Mac's own keyboard and mouse: F13, F14 and F15, keys most keyboards have and macOS leaves unused, open Mission Control, Spotlight and Play / Pause, and mouse buttons 4 and 5, the side buttons on most mice, send Command left bracket and Command right bracket for back and forward in browsers and the Finder.

No controller: F13 to F15 and the two side buttons on a mouse drive the Mac

Where it is in the app

It ships inside InputConfig: open the sidebar and look in its folder, or search for it. Activate it, or press Edit to see every row. It is also here as a file, identical apart from being inactive and ungrouped, for anyone who deleted theirs or wants it on another Mac.

Notes

Scan any key or mouse button to swap it in, including modifier keys pressed on their own. A spare numpad or a second keyboard can carry a whole macro deck this way; the macro deck guide builds one.

Download

Open a downloaded preset with InputConfig, or drag it onto the app icon. It lands in the sidebar, ready to activate or edit. Any launch target inside a preset file is cleared on import; add one yourself in the editor if you want it.
