Built-in preset

Desktop Navigation preset

Desktop Navigation is the preset most people activate first. It turns any controller into a complete mouse with a few macOS shortcuts attached, and it is the base that the Easy Mac and Office Controller guide presets were built from.

Left stick = cursor, right stick = scroll, face buttons = shortcuts

Where it is in the app

It ships inside InputConfig: open the sidebar and look in its folder, or search for it. Activate it, or press Edit to see every row. It is also here as a file, identical apart from being inactive and ungrouped, for anyone who deleted theirs or wants it on another Mac.

22 rows. Button names are the Xbox / PlayStation pair the editor shows; a Switch Pro Controller fires by position. Options are the row settings that differ from the defaults.

Notes

The pointer rows use a variable speed so a small push is precise and a full push crosses the screen. If the pointer drifts at rest, raise the inner deadzone on the four left-stick rows, or use the stick settings button in the slot header to do all four at once.

Download

Open a downloaded preset with InputConfig, or drag it onto the app icon. It lands in the sidebar, ready to activate or edit. Any launch target inside a preset file is cleared on import; add one yourself in the editor if you want it.
