Agenda from a game controller
The Agenda layout is built into InputConfig, free on the Mac App Store. You don't have to make an account, there are no subscriptions, and nothing is locked. Optimized for Apple silicon.
On a Mac: Agenda reads keys from this layout like a keyboard. The rows come from the Apple Notes layout, so check the checklist key against Agenda's Format menu.
Yes, you can take meeting notes in Agenda on a Mac from a game controller: new note on the big button, bold, a checklist and copy on the others. The rows come from the Notes layout, so check the checklist key once. Dictated meeting notes are the use, and the checklist button turns them into actions.
The layout, control by control
How the layout thinks
- Write. New note (Command N) on the bottom face button, bold on the right, a checklist on the left, copy on the top.
- Point and scroll. The left stick is the pointer, the right stick scrolls, the right trigger clicks, Escape is on Start.
Check the checklist row
- You: Open Agenda's Format menu and read its checklist key.
- InputConfig: Sends Command Shift L, Apple Notes' checklist key, until you change it.
- Check: Press the left face button in a note. If no checkbox appears, set the row to Agenda's key.
The checklist button is what turns notes into actions, so make sure it works before the meeting.
Tune it for meetings
- Dictation. Add a Start Dictation row on a bumper.
- On the Agenda. Its toggle from Agenda's menus on a stick click.
- Mute the call. Add your call app's mute row to this preset. The mute button page lists the keys.
Mute, speak a note, tick a box, all without looking away from the call.
Get it in two clicks
- Get InputConfig free on the Mac App Store, open it, and click Smart Preset Maker on the welcome screen.
- Search for Agenda and pick it. The layout is created as a preset in your sidebar, named and ready.
- Press Activate. Every row can be changed afterwards: the editor's Scan button rebinds any control the moment you touch it.
