Media Controller preset
This preset ships inside InputConfig, free on the Mac App Store. You don't have to make an account, there are no subscriptions, and nothing is locked. Optimized for Apple silicon.
Media Controller is for running music and video from a controller, at a desk or across the room. It sends the same media key events a keyboard's media keys produce, so play / pause, next, and previous reach whichever app is playing: Music, Spotify, TV, a YouTube tab. Volume and mute are system functions, so they work everywhere.

Where it is in the app
It ships inside InputConfig: open the sidebar and look in its folder, or search for it. Activate it, or press Edit to see every row. It is also here as a file, identical apart from being inactive and ungrouped, for anyone who deleted theirs or wants it on another Mac.

15 rows. Button names are the Xbox / PlayStation pair the editor shows; a Switch Pro Controller fires by position. Options are the row settings that differ from the defaults.
Notes
- A living-room pair. Run it with Web Browsing on per-app auto-switch, and give it a light bar color so you can see which one is active.
- A volume fader. Change the right trigger's output to System Volume and the level follows the pull.
Media keys reach whichever app is playing, so one preset covers Music, Spotify and a browser tab.

To add a downloaded preset: drop the file on InputConfig's Dock icon, or click the … button next to any preset in the sidebar, choose Import Preset File, and pick the file. It lands in the sidebar, ready to activate or edit. Any launch target inside a preset file is cleared on import; add one yourself in the editor if you want it.
