Touchpad Mouse preset
This preset ships inside InputConfig, free on the Mac App Store. You don't have to make an account, there are no subscriptions, and nothing is locked. Optimized for Apple silicon.
In this showcase preset, the controller's touchpad becomes a trackpad. One finger moves the pointer, a second finger scrolls, a tap or pressing the pad clicks, and two fingers tapped together right-click. It needs a DualSense, DualSense Edge, or DualShock 4.

Where it is in the app
It ships inside InputConfig: open the sidebar and look in its folder, or search for it. Activate it, or press Edit to see every row. It is also here as a file, identical apart from being inactive and ungrouped, for anyone who deleted theirs or wants it on another Mac.

11 rows. Button names are the Xbox / PlayStation pair the editor shows; a Switch Pro Controller fires by position. Options are the row settings that differ from the defaults.
Notes
- Pointer speed. The touchpad needs no calibration, since macOS reports the whole pad. If the pointer is too fast or too slow, change Speed on the four finger 1 rows.
- No double clicks. A press is never counted as a tap, so both can be a left click without firing twice.
- Soft buttons too. Add tap regions from the regions page.
Set Speed on the finger 1 rows, and the touchpad feels like a small Mac trackpad.

To add a downloaded preset: drop the file on InputConfig's Dock icon, or click the … button next to any preset in the sidebar, choose Import Preset File, and pick the file. It lands in the sidebar, ready to activate or edit. Any launch target inside a preset file is cleared on import; add one yourself in the editor if you want it.
