Built-in preset

Racing Game preset

A two-handed driving layout for games that steer from the keyboard: left and right on the stick, throttle and brake on the analog triggers so pressure matters, and the extras on the face buttons. For driving from a single joystick, see one-stick driving.

Left stick steers, RT accelerate, LT brake, face buttons handbrake/shift

Where it is in the app

It ships inside InputConfig: open the sidebar and look in its folder, or search for it. Activate it, or press Edit to see every row. It is also here as a file, identical apart from being inactive and ungrouped, for anyone who deleted theirs or wants it on another Mac.

Notes

Analog triggers bound to keys pulse the key in proportion to the pull, which most games read as partial throttle. If a game has an analog keyboard option, turn it off. The one-stick driving guide is the alternative for one hand.

Download

Open a downloaded preset with InputConfig, or drag it onto the app icon. It lands in the sidebar, ready to activate or edit. Any launch target inside a preset file is cleared on import; add one yourself in the editor if you want it.
