Steps

  1. Connect the MIDI keyboard to the Mac.
  2. Open the Roblox piano game and note which computer key plays each note.
  3. In InputConfig, make a row per note: Scan the piano key, then choose the computer key.
  4. Activate the preset with Roblox in front.
  5. Play a scale to check every note.

Read the keys the game uses

Most piano games on Roblox show their keys on screen, or in the game's description. Write down which computer key plays each note, and which keys need Shift for the sharps. The game decides the layout, so copy its keys, not a chart from somewhere else.

Map each note

  • You: Make a row, click Scan, and press a key on the piano. Choose Keyboard Key as the output and pick the computer key the game uses for that note. For a sharp, add Shift.
  • InputConfig: Types that computer key each time the note arrives.
  • Check: Press the piano key with a text note in front first. The right letter appears.

Repeat it for each note you need. One octave is a good start, and you can add more later.

If notes are missing or doubled

Climb this ladder, smallest step first:

  1. Check Roblox is in front. Keys go to the app in front.
  2. Check the note number. The MIDI tester shows which note each piano key sends.
  3. Check Shift on the sharps. A sharp that plays the natural is missing Shift.
  4. Play slower. Very fast runs can arrive faster than the game reads keys.
