Variable Sensitivity preset
This preset ships inside InputConfig, free on the Mac App Store. You don't have to make an account, there are no subscriptions, and nothing is locked. Optimized for Apple silicon.
In this showcase preset, both sticks move the pointer, the right with the Smooth curve and the left with Aggressive. Move each and feel the difference. Then open the rows to see the setting.

Where it is in the app
It ships inside InputConfig: open the sidebar and look in its folder, or search for it. Activate it, or press Edit to see every row. It is also here as a file, identical apart from being inactive and ungrouped, for anyone who deleted theirs or wants it on another Mac.

9 rows. Button names are the Xbox / PlayStation pair the editor shows; a Switch Pro Controller fires by position. Options are the row settings that differ from the defaults.
Notes
- Smooth. It is for pointing, and for hands that shake.
- Aggressive. It is for games where reaching full speed quickly matters.
- Linear. It is the third choice, and the one for MIDI and scrolling.
Move both sticks for ten seconds and you will know which curve you want.

To add a downloaded preset: drop the file on InputConfig's Dock icon, or click the … button next to any preset in the sidebar, choose Import Preset File, and pick the file. It lands in the sidebar, ready to activate or edit. Any launch target inside a preset file is cleared on import; add one yourself in the editor if you want it.
