Built-in preset

FPS (8BitDo) preset

8BitDo pads in Apple mode report as standard extended gamepads, and this preset is the shooter layout for their button arrangement. It suits the Pro 2, the Ultimate, and the SN30 Pro+, and works in X and D modes as well through the app's raw HID path.

Where it is in the app

It ships inside InputConfig: open the sidebar and look in its folder, or search for it. Activate it, or press Edit to see every row. It is also here as a file, identical apart from being inactive and ungrouped, for anyone who deleted theirs or wants it on another Mac.

24 rows. Button names are the Xbox / PlayStation pair the editor shows; a Switch Pro Controller fires by position. Options are the row settings that differ from the defaults.

Notes

If buttons do not register, the mode switch on the back is the first thing to check; the 8BitDo page explains each position.

Download

Open a downloaded preset with InputConfig, or drag it onto the app icon. It lands in the sidebar, ready to activate or edit. Any launch target inside a preset file is cleared on import; add one yourself in the editor if you want it.
