FPS (8BitDo) preset
This preset ships inside InputConfig, free on the Mac App Store. You don't have to make an account, there are no subscriptions, and nothing is locked. Optimized for Apple silicon.
This is the shooter layout for 8BitDo's button arrangement. It suits the Pro 2, the Ultimate and the SN30 Pro+ paired in the mode 8BitDo lists for Apple devices: D on the Pro 2's switch, B and Start on the SN30 Pro+. Pads that InputConfig reads in X mode over a USB cable can use it too. Which mode for your model.

Where it is in the app
It ships inside InputConfig: open the sidebar and look in its folder, or search for it. Activate it, or press Edit to see every row. It is also here as a file, identical apart from being inactive and ungrouped, for anyone who deleted theirs or wants it on another Mac.

24 rows. Button names are the Xbox / PlayStation pair the editor shows; a Switch Pro Controller fires by position. Options are the row settings that differ from the defaults.
Notes
- Buttons that do nothing. Check the mode switch on the back first. The 8BitDo page explains each position.
With an 8BitDo pad, the mode it was paired in decides almost everything.

To add a downloaded preset: drop the file on InputConfig's Dock icon, or click the … button next to any preset in the sidebar, choose Import Preset File, and pick the file. It lands in the sidebar, ready to activate or edit. Any launch target inside a preset file is cleared on import; add one yourself in the editor if you want it.
